Kent Prince

Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President

Kent Prince was born and raised surrounded by the beauty of rural farmland in Yankton, South Dakota. He has always had a keen interest in agriculture and his enthusiasm for the industry continued to grow into adulthood as he built a successful career in the agriculture industry.

Kent attended South Dakota State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications and Political Science. Upon graduation, Kent began his career in the agriculture industry while also pursuing his M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.

 

Kent began his career in agriculture as a regional sales manager in the agriculture division of Chromalloy America Corp., followed by 17 years with Monsanto. At Monsanto, he was able to refine his sales and marketing skills in various roles including sales management, marketing management, product management and national account management.

 

In 1995, Kent joined Tenkoz, Inc., the largest distribution entity for crop protection products in the United States. He was hired as vice president and general manager and one year later elected president of the organization.

 

For three years prior to Kent’s employment at Westchester Group, Inc. he held several consulting jobs with food and beverage companies including Nutra-Park, Inc., Real Pure Beverage Group and Fibred, Inc.

 

Kent has a wide variety of leadership experience in all facets of the agriculture industry from initial production to end-user consumption. His industry expertise has made Kent a valuable resource for Westchester Group, Inc. He joined Westchester Group, Inc. in 2005 as vice president, handling the Real Estate and Auction segments of the business. Kent’s hard work and proven ability to grow the business at Westchester earned him a promotion to executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) in July 2007.
