Joe Bubon

Executive Vice President

Westchester Group, Inc.

Joe Bubon joined Westchester Group, Inc. as a Farm Management Intern in 1990 after working as a Research Assistant for the Illinois State Water Survey. During Joe’s internship his rapport with farmers and investors and innate sense of the inner workings of farm operations led him to the Westchester Farm Management division. After his graduation from the University of Illinois in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics, he returned as a full-time farm manager.

He oversees multiple farm properties in Illinois, Mississippi, Arkansas and Florida. In addition to his managerial responsibilities, Joe works with landowners on the sale of farm properties via private treaty or public auction. He also works closely with farmers and investors in the acquisition of farmland throughout the Midwest. After excelling in his role as a farm manager, Joe was named vice president of Westchester Farm Management.

A few of Joe’s key achievements include selling over $10 million of farmland properties in one year and managing over 20,000 acres of farmland in four states. He also coordinated one of the largest and most successful farmland auctions ever held in the Midwest—Northern Illinois Gas’ sale of 5,242 acres of farmland, building sites and development land that brought $17.14 million on auction day.

After 17 years with Westchester Farm Management, Joe has established himself as an industry expert in the area of farm management. As a reflection of Joe’s expertise, he received a well-deserved promotion to president of Westchester Farm Management in June 2007. He will continue to be involved in the sale of farm properties, building relationships with farmers and investors, and contributing to all divisions of Westchester. His capabilities and dedication to the agriculture industry have significantly contributed to the success and growth of Westchester Farm Management and the company as a whole.
